Custom Container Design and Coaching

Grace makes it easy to have seasonal color where it matters most – your front door, your poolside patio, or wherever you relax outdoors. Container gardens are a great way to have a lush garden without the maintenance costs of a large landscape. Experiment with colors while you find your style. Enjoy a lush garden even in a small space.

But containers come in infinite sizes and materials, and some plants are just better for that shady location than the giant banana you were dreaming about.

Let me help you choose the right pots and plants to set the mood you want.

Experience and Knowledge

Do you travel, or just want to relax in the evening without standing around with a hose? Let us set up a drip irrigation system to make your garden look effortless.

Have a wedding coming up and the bride chose purple? Have a sunny roof-top garden and don’t know what to choose? As a native Pacific-Northwesterner, Owner and Designer Grace Hensley can select the plants that perform the best here in our climate, to match your (or the bride’s) personal style

Our container installation team knows the best ways to site, fill, and plant your pots the right way. No packing peanuts, no hydrogels, just quality potting soil all the way. Only OMRI organic approved Sluggo, and slow-release fertilizers used, to minimize environmental impact.

Planting packages available

– New Installation – Custom selection and installation of planters, soil, and plants based on garden aspect, number and types of containers, and irrigation requirements. Prices vary*

– Planter-Renewal Package – Refreshment of existing planters with consideration of plant and soil health. Typical cost $100/medium container (a medium container is about 17 diameter). Three pot minimum, please, unless in my travel zone*.

– Porch Styling – Have an event like a wedding or garden party? Staging a house for sale? Need an inviting display for your business? With experience setting up displays in the City Living Skybridge at the NW Flower and Garden Show, I can make your event shine. Let me help you set the scene.

Ideal for DIY Gardeners who would like a general site plan based on sun, water, small-livestock, and general gardening flow. This is a brainstorming session that gives you suggestions on what trees, shrubs and plants are worth keeping, and what should be removed or moved. I might suggest better paths, or garden features that suit your lifestyle. (I am not an arborist, so cannot diagnose tree health, but I can find you a qualified one. )*

I am located on Bainbridge Island, WA. I am accepting a limited number of regular clients, but am happy to consult on any project.
